Tomorrow May 12th, 2006 is Field Day at W.T. Hanes.
Please remember to wear your tennis shoes and be ready for fun.
You may bring water bottle with you to school for the morning activities.
Respect Corp students will be helping in the afternoon so you may want to bring a sack lunch for tomorrow.
The temperature tomorrow will be 87 degrees.

Please start bringing back your Library books :)

It is that time of year where we start to get ready for the end of the year and you need to bring back all your books.  You do not want to have to pay for lost books.

So start looking in you rooms for those Library or school books.

Having Fun and Learning

Miss Tumlinson's classes are having fun these days learning new ways of doing research.  Students are doing different research projects that go along with math and science.  Recently students have learned how to make graphs in excell then transfer their information over to word for the finished projects.  They have done outstanding jobs on posters they made for science as they researched the three types of animals we have studied in our Science kit for this semester.  Click on the links below to see a finished projects.

Students will still have homework in spelling and maybe in reading some nights.

At this point of the year any homework in math with be work they did not complete in class. :(

Getting Ready for 5th Grade

We are getting ready now for what is to come in 5th grade.  I will begin lessons on Monday that will be geared towards math in 5th grade.  There will be some review and then some real challenges when we begin to move ahead.  I am looking forward to the fun we will be having in math :)

We Are Finished With TESTING!!!

The students did a great job this week with testing.  They should be very proud of themselve.  I just want to thank the students for working so hard at getting ready for the testing and their great behavior for those two days.  THANK YOU so MUCH!

TAKS on Tuesday and Wednesday

Tuesday April 18th, 2006 Fourth grade will be taking the Math TAKS test.

Testing starts at 8:15am and breakfast will be provided.

Wednesday April 19th, 2006 we will be taking the
Reading TAKS test.

 Testing starts at 8:15am and breakfast will be provided.  We ask that every student is on time and present for both testing days.  There are test make ups so the student will not miss the test.  Fourth grade has always had perfect attendance.  Please be here are ready to pass the TAKS.

We are preparing every day for the big testing days.
We feel the kids are ready and going to do great.
Please be on time to school on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The school will be providing breakfast both days for the students.
This week will not have homework for Miss Tumlinson’s class due to the work we are doing in class.
